Wedding Packages

A while back Jessie and I spent a lot of time debating if our little media business should venture into shooting and editing wedding videos?  When we thought about the huge amount of time and energy that goes into producing a great wedding video, we were not at all sure the return would be worth the investment. 

Where couples are willing to spend a good slice of their wedding budget on photography (ourselves included, I think we spent $1,800), they are much less likely to budget half or even a quarter that amount for wedding videography.  A single hour of video will bring back sights and sounds more vividly than 250, 500 or a 1000 photographs, yet many couples all but dismiss capturing their big day on video or, if nothing else, hope that Uncle Bob will get some good shots with his camcorder, likely to be disappointed later.

Having quality video is the difference between a still image of rings being exchanged and getting to watch, hear and relive the emotion in the exchange of vows.  Its about hearing your family and friends laugh with you as little unexpected things happen during the ceremony.  Its about capturing the toasts, prayers, and clinking glass rather that just a photo of the best man with his glass in the air.  Its about catching all those moments that go by so swiftly that you won't remember the next day let alone next week. 

Having video of your big day allows you to live and relive the day you worked so hard a year in advance prepare for.  More importantly your children and their children will be able to experience your wedding day for decades and centuries to come.  Photographs alone can not and do not provide this rich experience.  Video truly allows couples to relive their day and moreover watch it from the perspective of their friends and family. 

Silver Package:  Ceremony - $600

• Three (3) cameras for ceremony (up to 3 hours on location)
• Captures start of ceremony through receiving line/wedding party departure (whichever is first)
• Wireless lapel microphone for clear vows
• Two (2) DVDs with chaptered menus

We will arrive an hour before your ceremony and setup three (3) video cameras to capture your ceremony from three different angles.  At the conclusion of the ceremony we will use the remainder of the video tape to shoot as much of your receiving line as possible (until the tape runs out, typically 15 to 20 minutes).  We will edit the footage from the three cameras into a single flowing video using the best angles from each camera.  You will receive two DVDs of the wedding ceremony complete with menus.

Gold Package - Ceremony & Reception Line - $1,200

• One (1) camera for pre-ceremony; Three (3) cameras for ceremony; One (1) camera for reception (up to 2 hours)
• Captures pre-ceremony through bouquet toss
• Wireless lapel microphone for clear vows
• Two (2) DVDs with chaptered menus

We will arrive two hours before your ceremony to capture pre-ceremony happenings including shots of venue, final bridal party and groomsmen preparations, flower pinning, etc.  During this time we will also setup three (3) video cameras to capture your ceremony from three different angles. At the conclusion of the ceremony we will use the remainder of the video tape to shoot as much of your receiving line as possible (until the tape runs out, typically 15 to 20 minutes). 

At this point, we can optionally stay with the wedding party to get shots of events between the ceremony and reception or we can proceed directly to the reception venue to get footage and await the wedding party's arrival.  At the reception we will shoot major events (entrance, prayer, toasts, cake cutting, first dance, etc.) up to and including the bouquet toss as well as get shots of your guests socializing.  Shooting will conclude with the bouquet toss or at 7 hour mark, whichever comes first.  

We will edit the ceremony footage from the three cameras into a single flowing video using the best angles from each camera.  Pre-ceremony and reception footage will be editing into a single video with chapter marks at the major events.  You will receive DVDs of the wedding day complete with menus.

Platinum Package - Getting ready, Ceremony & Reception - $1,800

• Two (2) cameras for pre-ceremony; Three (3) cameras for ceremony; One (1) camera for reception (up to 11 hours)
• Captures getting ready through dancing
• Wireless lapel microphone for clear vows
• Two (2) DVDs with chaptered menus
• Full movie crediting for your wedding party
• Wedding highlights video

We will start the day early with you providing with one camera to capture the bridal party preparations (hair, makeup, wedding dress, etc.) and one camera to capture the groomsmen getting ready.  Approximately one hour before the ceremony we will setup three (3) video cameras to capture your ceremony from three different angles.  At the conclusion of the ceremony we will use the remainder of the video tape to shoot as much of your receiving line as possible (until the tape runs out, typically 15 to 20 minutes). 

At this point, we can optionally stay with the wedding party to get shots of events between the ceremony and reception or we can proceed directly to the reception venue to get footage and await the wedding party's arrivial.  At the reception we will shoot major events (entrance, prayer, toasts, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc.) up until the 11 hour mark. 

We will edit the ceremony footage from the three cameras into a single flowing video using the best angles from each camera.  Pre-ceremony and reception footage will be editing into a single video with chapter marks at the major events.  We will product a 4 to 5 minute wedding highlights video to music of your choice.  You will receive DVDs of the wedding day complete with menus.

"Jewel" options for any package: $300 each

"Diamond" options for any package: $600 each

About "Raw" Footage

As a matter of policy we do not provide raw footage under any circumstances. All original recordings, tapes, and any other media used to in recording events remains the sole property of Brassard Media.  We will however, on a case by case basis, provide copies (omitting "junk" shots and rough edited) of raw footage on a time and materials basis.
